The board appoints a Practice Area Committee in each nominated area of practice. The main task of the Practice Area Committee is to advise the Board on the assessment in their area of practice.
Each Practice Area Committee is made up of a number of lawyers recognised by the Board as being expert in the relevant area of practice. Committees may also have a representative or representatives from client groups or from an academic specialist in the area.
