For public benefit
We understand the needs of Scottish charities and trusts because we are one of Scotland’s earliest not-for-profit corporations for public benefit. With our heritage in the sector we are uniquely placed to provide administration services to the charitable sector.
We support every aspect of a charity’s affairs from secretarial assistance, record keeping, trustee recruitment, financial administration, grant-making policy to strategic reviews. We offer guidance on constitutional issues, variation of purposes, powers and duties, and relationships with HMRC and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator. When external advice is needed, we use our network to find the most cost-effective solutions.
We bring the authority of the Signet Library in Edinburgh to our service – charity events, award ceremonies, training seminars and trustee meetings can be held in our imposing building.
We are not a law firm or other professional practice. We are a not-for-profit corporation with a long history in the Scottish charity sector. We look first and foremost to deliver public benefit through and our charges are based on cost and not profit. We can offer inclusive annual fees to give certainty on costs.
