Renowned international sports lawyer, Paolo Lombardi, will be in conversation with Bruce Caldow (Harper Macleod) on the subject of international football regulation, following his appearance in the landmark case of FC Barcelona at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.

Previously Head of Disciplinary and Governance at FIFA, Paolo Lombardi is now Managing Director at Lombardi Associates, a UK-based football advisory business. Paulo provides advice on international football regulation to football stakeholders worldwide. Whilst with FIFA, Paolo gained significant experience in disputes arising from transfers of players and was then responsible for disciplinary, doping, football governance and ethics-related issues. He was actively involved in drafting FIFA regulations. Paolo has dealt with numerous high profile international football disputes and disciplinary cases. He regularly represents clients at FIFA, UEFA and CAS. His working languages are English, Italian, Spanish and French.

Bruce Caldow is Scotland’s top sports lawyer. He leads Harper Macleod’s sports law practice. Bruce advises sports clients in relation to regulatory, disciplinary and governance matters. Clients include the Scottish Rugby Union, for whom Bruce is the national team's lawyer, Scottish Gymnastics and Scottish Swimming. Bruce is a chairman for the SFA judicial and appellate panels.
